POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for assisting in the implementation of Kemba Credit Union's business development to attract, expand, and retain credit union membership via Select Employer Groups (SEGs) in the Connersville and Richmond, Indiana regions. This is accomplished by finding new business (SEGs) within the local communities. This may be achieved by "cold calls" or networking opportunities. Group presentations and new member signups are essential. Responsible for maintaining existing SEG relationships, and enhancing the image of Kemba Credit Union in both business and local communities. Active in the community via chamber activities and other community events.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: This position will be responsible for Business Development in the Connersville and Richmond, Indiana region. However, frequent travel to Kemba Credit Union's Operations Center in West Chester, Ohio is required. Travel to networking, recruiting, and other business-related events will be required as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification: A minimum of one of the following: (1) A two-year college degree, (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of financial services products preferred.
Experience Required: One year to three years of similar or related experience. Previous experience in financial sales and services preferred.
Skills/Abilities: Strong interpersonal, presentation, and public relations skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attentive to detail and excellent problem-solving ability. Ability to use related computer applications.
